| The e-learing system currently in use at UConn is "The Blackboard Learning System™ - Vista Enterprise License", more commonly referred to as WebCT Vista or Vista. Prior to Fall 2005, the system in use was WebCT Campus Edition 3.8. During the year-long transition from WebCT Campus Edition 3.8 to WebCT Vista both systems were in use. The new name for WebCT Vista reflects the fact that WebCT, Inc. was acquired by Blackboard, Inc. in February 2006. |

| WebCT Vista is considered the “academic enterprise” version of WebCT as it integrates with administrative systems such as StudentAdmin (PeopleSoft) and also provides the ability to make learning and resource materials available that can be shared across schools and by the university as a whole. |

| Students seeking assistance with the Vista Learning System should call the LRC at (860) 486-1187. Frequently we can resolve basic problems over the phone, but we also encourage students to schedule appointments for more extensive assistance. |
